The Rise of Rock World Tour 2026 landed at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. The show kicked off promptly at 7:00 PM with a high energy set from the blues-infused rock band Dorothy, fronted by the powerful lead vocalist Dorothy Martin, who recently announced her relationship with Godsmack frontman Sully Erna.
Her touring band includes guitarists Nick Perri (Nick Perri & The Underground Thieves) who took over for Sam “Bam” Koltun (Budderside, Faster Pussycat) who has since joined Godsmack, bassist Eli Wulfman, and drummer Jake Hayden. With just a backdrop of her name behind the band and a few plants ornately placed around Nick’s amps, the band let the music do the talking with cuts like “Raise Hell,” “Rest in Peace,” and “The Devil I Know” making the set before she closed things out with “Elevate.”
As the sun began to set and heat up the Pavillion with its intense rays, the iconic grunge outfit Stone Temple Pilots, anchored by original members Dean DeLeo on guitar and his brother Robert DeLeo on bass, Eric Kretz on drums, and frontman Jeff Gutt on lead vocals. While their performance may have took people of a certain age on a journey through alternative rock history, a new generation of fans rose up to sing along to songs like “Plush,” “Interstate Love Song,” “Vasoline,” “Wicked Garden,” and “Sex Type Thing,” which were once massive radio staples.
Headlining the heavy-hitting lineup was Godsmack, featuring lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Sully Erna, lead guitarist Sam “Bam” Koltun, bassist Robbie Merrill, and the man who has held records as the “world’s fastest drummer,” Mike Mangini (Extreme, Dream Theater). So naturally, a central highlight of their set is the dual-drum battle between Erna and Mangini during “Voodoo,” as the kits spun like the tea cups at Disney. We had a blast taking in the laser and light show was listening in to hard rock hits like “I Stand Alone,” “Awake,” “Cryin’ Like a Bitch,” “Bulletproof,” and the emotional piano ballad “Under Your Scars.”
