The Crafthouse Stage & Grill hosted a free show on Tuesday night with one of our favorite’s headlining the night. Enuff Z’ Nuff were joined by PERMACRUSH and BAND, Inc. for an intimate show in Pittsburgh. With Chip Z’ Nuff and PERMACRUSH frontman Chris Crush greeting fans at the merch booth from the times the doors opened to a gathering for autographs and lots of fanfare afterwards, it was a really fun night and great showcase of rock music.
With local support warming up the crowd as many took time to socialize and grab a meal, BAND, Inc. took the stage first and drew the crowd in with the trios infectious stage energy and powerful female fronted vocal force. The young singer, songrwriter, and bassist Giuliana Lucia Amaral continues to spread her wings with the band’s latest single “Queen of Insanity.” She is joined by drummer Lorenzo Meynardi and new addition Dandy Meynardi on guitar as the band’s former guitarist Luis Kalil has now signed on to play with Enuff Z’ Nuff.

PERMACRUSH hit the stage next with Chris Crush on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Alex Tuccio on drums, Brett Baugh on lead guitar and Chip Z’ Nuff on bass and backing vocals. Surprised we have never seen this band before, given their lengthy history, but we really enjoyed their set especially because we got a double dose of Chip that night!

Enuff Z’ Nuff has one constant and that is founder and now frontman Chip Z’ Nuff. He is now joined by guitarist Jason Camino, and new additions Luis Kalil (Red Devil Vortex) on lead guitar and drummer Brentt James Arcement (Mike Tramp’s White Lion). This band’s music has always brought me to a happy place, and this night was no exception. Favorites like “Love Train” and “In The Groove” were accompanied by the big hits “Fly High Michelle” and “New Thing” to please the crowd. But, for those of us who know the catalog well, the addition of “Little Indian Angel” from the band’s self-titled debut was the true gem.
Naturally, the set included solo and band cuts from The Beatles inspired Hardrock Nite album as well, namely “Live and Let Die,” “Jet,” and the classic “With A Little Help from My Friends.” Also in the mix from the band’s more recent catalog was “Metalhard” from the 2018 release Diamond Boy.
Luis Kalil who brought a new energy to the band with his flashy guitar solos can be found back at the Crafthouse Stage & Grill with his band Red Devil Vortex on Sunday, October 19th in support of Kings of Thrash featuring former Megadeth members Jeff Young and Dave Ellefson. Hope to see you all there!
