Twilight

Hailing from Germany, Twilight is a 5 piece band that formed in 1994 and in 1997 released their debut 9 song CD "Sounds Of Light & Chaos".

Throughout "Sounds Of Light & Chaos" vocalist Bernd Schubert sounds closest to Ronnie Atkins of Pretty Maids. Twilight has a very raw sound reminiscent of many of the early 80's bands coming out of Europe yet shows no obvious influences throughout the CD.

Twilight is not afraid to take chances and suddenly change directions mid song as witnessed on the over 6 minute epic "Earthquake". "Why Don't You Go Home" kind of reminds me of S.M.F. by Twisted Sister with a hint of Tension thrown in for good measure. Surprisingly, the band finishes the CD with a cover of Iron Maiden's "Fear Of The Dark".

As suggested before, Twilight has a pretty much unique style and is worth looking into if you are interested in bands at their raw, hungry beginnings.

Twilight is:

Wolfgang Zissler (Guitars)
Ralf Luther (Guitars)
Rita Apostel (Bass)
Andreas Bock (Drums)
Bernd Schubert (Vocals)
