For fans of:  Underground mid 1980's Power Metal.

Stalemate is a 5 piece Power Metal band from Italy.  Opening cut "Hell's Messengers" recalls influences of Judas Priest, early Metallica and perhaps, inadvertently 220 Volt.  "Something Is Falling" is a straight ahead track with an almost Maidenesque break similar to "Rime Of The Ancient Mariner" in the middle.  

The standout track of the CD is Submitted By Nature, with Black Nutria's vocals being complimented by the twin guitar attack of Steve Saccani and Andrea Ambanelli.

While the production is not that of a major label release, the obvious enthusiasm and desire to play comes across throughout the 3 track release.  Future releases should see the band develop into an even stronger unit.
