The Spider Rockets come across as
aggressive and nasty as their toxic home state of New Jersey. The 4 piece
band features Helena Cos on vocals whose style is very much comparable with
Tairrie B. of My Ruin, Tura Satana and Manhole. Other favorable
comparisons of Helena's style would be Kittie, L7, Betty Blowtorch and
Scratching Post.
Their CD "Flipped Off" contains
11 tracks. The CD is well produced and the band have a sound along the
lines of My Ruin and Kittie. Firmly rooted in the aggressive music
movement, Spider Rockets "Flipped Off" is not for those looking for
soothing melodies and love songs.
