Slice
Saved
Trance Music

4 song EP from German modern rock band Slice.  I have read that these guys at one time sounded similar to Fair Warning.  Lead track “Saved” sounds like a modern rock version of Extreme or Mr. Big.  Slice appears to be on the fence like Harem Scarem, trying to somehow bridge the gap between melodic hard rock and modern rock.  “Do You Believe” walks this fine line fairly well.  Unfortunately, “Lonely” falls on the wrong side.  If this track was re-worked with tuned-up rhythm guitars and full drums, this song would be much more appealing.  Slice are trying to work both sides of the hard rock audience, time will tell which path they will follow.
