Romeo
Delite
For Fans Of: Nitro, Dokken, Spectre
Hailing from Decatur, Georgia, Romeo Delite is a 4 piece band that plays melodic
hard rock and writes incredibly catchy songs without being too sugary. There is
a definite edge to their self-titled debut release. Opening track “Shot Of My
Love” sounds like it could have come off the debut CD by Nitro or Dokken. Lead
singer Jay Fury is a deadringer vocally for Jim Gillette. The ballad “Always
With You” reminds me of Pretty Boy Floyd’s “I Wanna Be With You”.

Guitarist Brett McKee plays tasty riffs and great solos throughout the disc.
The diversity of straight-ahead rockers (“Carry The Torch”) mixed with mid-paced
songs (“Touch You”) gives the CD an excellent flow. Closing track “Rebel Angel”
delivers a solid final punch to CD.
Overall, Romeo Delite delivers instantly memorable hooks and well-composed
songs. The production is good in the sense that it never takes the raw edge off
the tracks. Much of the CD has the sound of Dokken’s debut CD “Breaking The
Chains”.
