From Pittsburgh, PA Relapse comes
at you with a straight ahead metal approach. So far, Relapse has released one CD
titled "Brace Yourself".
Relapse has been together since 1995 and displays a diverse amount of influences
throughout. Vocalist Alex Simon oftens times has a vocal texture similar
to Sword and Saints and Sinners singer Rick Hughes. The cut "In God We Trust",
sounds like it would be right at home on Sword's "Metalized" CD. The title
track, "Brace Yourself" is very similar to "Cowboys From Hell" era Pantera.
Closing track "Hangman" has some
really thick guitar riffing, courtesy of Keith Krut - Guitar that recalls
Flotsam & Jetsam's "I Live, You Die".
Relapse have recently appeared on
the local television show, "On Q Magazine" on WQED and WQEX in Pittsburgh.
