Mystery Blue

Formed in 1982 by guitarist Frenzy, MYSTERY BLUE has come full circle.  From opening gigs for the likes of Saxon, Def Leppard and Motorhead, the band reimerged in the mid 1990's with a new lineup and a great sound.

MYSTERY BLUE's members cite influences from Kim Goss (SINERGY), Jody Turner (ROCK GODDESS) and Doro Pesch (WARLOCK) to bands such as Riot, Manowar and Vicious Rumors.  The bands latest 3 song demo caught us by surprise with a rude kick in the ass!  Lead vocalist Nathalie "The Wild Cat" is a dream come true in the vocal department.  She possesses a vocal ability comparable to Rob Halford (JUDAS PRIEST).  This comparison is clearly evident on the track "Roller Coaster Ride".  Guitarist Frenzy's playing is quite similar to the likes of mid 80's David T. Chastain (CHASTAIN) and Paul Gilbert (RACER X).  The demo opens with the moody and slowing building "Dark Visions".  "Angel" recalls early WARLOCK with Nathalie sounding like a dead-ringer for Doro.

The fact that this release is only on a CDr bodes well for the sound of the material pressed on a true disc.  The demo was engineered by Andy Lubbert and Stefan Glass, who has worked with German progressive metal artists VANDEN PLAS.  Along with FINAL TRAGEDY, MYSTERY BLUE is making some big noise out of the usually metal-starved France.
