A different twist, a German heavy metal band that kicks a$$ and is not in the
power metal subgenre. Late Night Romeo sounds like the illegitimate child of
Wildside (vocally) and World War III (sonically). “Horrible Lust” and its
straight ahead metal fist to the face attitude is a most welcome break from the
majority of quality metal releases from Europe.
A major influence that rears
its head throughout the CD is Accept. This is especially evident on the track
“Punch In Your Face” which sounds like “Balls To The Wall” era Accept.
Their cover of "United" by Judas Priest remains pretty much true to the
original.
I would be also most interested to hear the bands' debut CD "Adrenalized".
Late Nite Romeo has both of their CD's as well as t-shirts for sale on their
website. The band played Wacken in 2000 and this 2nd release is an
excellent sleeper pick that has not received much recognition but definitely
deserves a listen.
