Formed in the New Jersey / New York area over 7 years ago, Jarra is a female
fronted power metal band that features incredibly emotive vocals and passionate
guitar playing. Their debut CD is titled "Test Of Faith" and is available
through Lion Music.
Eternal Love is a piece of majestic power metal, full force, straight ahead with
the aggressive bite that shows the power of Kathie Jarra's vocals. Black Snow (The Final Sign) is stunning in its moodiness and
heavy guitar playing by Johnny Russian. His guitar riffs and solo in this song recall the days of guitar
heroes who could mesmerize the crowd with the feel coming from his fingers.
Jarra's inspiration of Ronnie James Dio becomes evident on "Pain" which has a Heaven And Hell era Black Sabbath feel to it.
The Sabbath vibe is also strong on "Indian War Love Song".
"Two Evils" is a masterful composition that is emotionally driven with
soulfulness and feeling. Simply put, it must be heard to be appreciated.
