EVICK

Based out of Manassas, Virginia, Evick is a 5-piece band with influences ranging from Van Halen to John Mellencamp.  The mid-america leanings show up throughout the CD and quite honesty are a rather unique hybrid of styles.  However, the band has honed its own sound without the dire influences of modern rock.  Lead track “Dance” has single potential with its catchy chorus.  “Face To Face” reminds me of Shark Island’s “Bad For Each Other” with Pete Evick’s vocals sounding eerily similar to Steven Tyler.  “Spin” has the feel on a heartland rocker with its Mellencamp stylings.
