ALONE

Chicago has been the home of many quality hard rock and metal bands over the years. Add to that long list the band Alone. Fronted by the lovely Rinat, Alone is a 3 piece band with a variety of styles and influences. Alone has had the opportunity to open for national bands such as Buckcherry, Fear Factory and Kittie. In 1998, the band released a 10 song CD under the name of Yeah Right titled "New Era".

"I Am" leads off the 3 track Alone EP with Rinat's urgent vocals and musical backbeat along the lines of Powerman 5000. "Dagger" is a stripped down hard rock song. Here Rinat's vocals sound similar to a cross between Joan Jett and Janet Gardner (Vixen) with a haunting, sexual aura to her delivery. The atmospheric "Mistake" has a Fear Of God vibe, without the macabre somberness the late Dawn Crosby possessed.

The 3 songs on Alone's EP show a great deal of diversity and allow the band many different options to develop and not be pigeonholed into one particular genre. Both the Alone EP and the Yeah Right "New Era" CD are available from the bands website at
