Although Ratt
was scheduled to appear just before Dokken when the tour began, Warrant was
moved to the latter slot and Ratt now takes the stage third. However, to the
best of our knowledge, moving things around didn’t effect the quality or the
length of the band’s performance. In fact, with some fifteen memorable Ratt
favorites spanning their career from the beginning to the most recent Sony
release, it seemed that this 'pack' had it covered. With newer members and an
updated set, there seemed to be a consensus the it was best (or at least the
freshest) performance of the night.

Their set began
with “Wanted Man” and continued on with a few lesser known tunes that showcased
the vocals of newcomer Jizzy Pearl, “I’m Insane” and “Lack of Communication”
from Out of the Cellar and “City to City” from Reach for the Sky to be precise.
But, that is not to say that the hits were forgotten. Everyone took notice for
“Back for More,” “Lay it Down,” “Your in Love,” and of course, “Body Talk.”

Actually, they
pulled out all the stops, like featuring the fretwork of long-time guitarist
Warren DeMartini through showcases of classic riffs like “Wall Cool Jr.” and the
floating introduction to “Nobody Rides for Free” from the Point Break movie
soundtrack, as well as a memorable solos from “Lovin’ You’s a Dirty Job” from
Detonator and everyone's favorite “Round n Round,” which also featured newer
addition John Corabi as the two guitarist dueled things out before calling it a
night.

More recent hits
like “Shame, Shame, Shame” (also from Detonator) and “Over the Edge” from the
band’s self-titled Sony release were not forgotten. In fact, the latter
featured a melodic approach with DeMartini on his acoustic guitar and four part
harmonies from Jizzy Pearl, Warren DeMartini, Robbie Crane, and John Corabi.
