The energy of the evening continued and the crowd packed in for a heavy metal
party with one of the classic bands of the eighties that brought fans anthems of
youth like "Metal Health" and "Cum on Feel the Noise."
Today, Quiet Riot is vocalist
Kevin DuBrow; guitarist Carlos Cavazo; bassist Rudy Sarzo; and drummer
Frankie Banali. And though the current line-up has pleased fans on and off
for years and is often recognized as "all originals," that has
not stopped them from remembering the man who started it all, guitar
legend Randy Rhodes. Mid-set, the band dedicated the song
"Thunderbird" to Rhodes, who died tragically many years ago,
while on tour with Ozzy Osbourne.
During their fist-pounding
set, highlights includes "Slick Black Cadillac" and "Mama
We're All Crazy Now," as well as a few newer tracks off of their 1999
Cleopatra release, Alive and Well, and "Psycho City" from their
underrated 1993 release Terrified. Overall, an excellent show by a
well-seasoned band.
