Poison
Blossom Amphitheater
Cuyahoga Falls, OH,
6/22/2002

Rikki Rockett

It may seem like you hear the same old lines from rock stars, but vocalist Bret Michaels opted to put his money where his mouth is while in Cleveland.  He invited the entire audience to take a road trip this Wednesday to Columbus, Ohio, using the same ticket stub for free admission...and to top things off, countless fan club members and guest were invited to a backstage party and meet-n-greet following one of the bands most energetic performances ever.

Bret Michaels

The night began with three diverse openers, namely the modern version of Faster Pussycat, the reunited all-original Winger, and the always-reliable Cinderella.  By the time that Poison hit the stage, the venue was packed with insane fans, who were crazy from the heat and all fighting for a spot in the front row.

Appropriately and expectedly, Poison started things off with "Look What the Cat Dragged In" and dove into other hits like "Talk Dirty To Me," "Your Mama Don't Dance," and "Fallen Angel"
before long.

New material included C.C. DeVille's spotlight song, "Emperor's New Clothes" and the band's newest single, a cover of "Squeeze Box," both from the Poison's brand new album.  Other highlights from the Poison’s performance included their trademark rendition of the KISS classic “Rock n Roll All Nite” and their own party classic “Nothin But a Good Time.”
