The Spaniards Easy Rider with the American vocalist (Ron Finn) return with a new disc entitled “Animal” and continue in the fine form of their previous disc “Regeneration”.
Opening track “Visions” is an upbeat, fast paced track that is a solid lead type single. On chasing demons Finn’s voice sounds very similar to Tim Aymar (313, Cotnrol Denied, Pharaoh) with its gravelly scream. “Casting The Shadow Of Sin” has an Iron Maiden gallop and a bit of a Pantera / Nevermore underlying vocal line. “Sacrifice” has a bit of a groove to it, all the while maintaining its metallic edge. On “Walls Of Hatred” and “Neverworld” Finn’s voice starts to call to mind Ted Pilot of Thunderhead and SOB.
4 of the last 5 tracks, are of the straight-ahead no frill variety, just quick-paced metal punches that hit home with each song. The closing track “The Dream Lives On”/”In My Life” is a 9 minute plus song that is divided between a hard-edged rocker and the back-end is a dreamy, acoustic mellow finish which is very surprising considering the heaviness of disc.
