Iain Ashley Hersey
Iain Ashley Hersey's musical background that includes schooling at Boston's Berklee College of Music and GIT Hollywood's Musician's Institute (where he later became an instructor) and influences ranging from Jimmy Page to Deep Purple to Jazz. He delivers a blues rock soaked debut CD titled "Fallen Angel". The CD is very much in the vein of Deep Purple and often shows influences of Ritchie Blackmore.
Opening track “License To Kill” had the back sound of “Can’t Catch Me” by Lita Ford with Blackmoresque soloing overtop. Instrumental "Steeple Chase" starts out with a familiar Iron Maiden styled gallop and turns into a quite an impressive jam featuring the likes of Jimmy Griego on drums, Marvin Sperling on bass and Pat Regan (who also produced this CD) on keyboards.
Other artists on the CD include Paul Shortino (Rough Cutt, Quiet Riot) who sings on "Hold On", Dante Marchi and Mike Stone on vocals, Dave Sutton on bass and Jim Austin on keyboards.
