Brutaliator

Steering away from typical Swedish metal at this time, Brutaliator takes more of an Iced Earth meets Slayer (vocally) and Metallica (pre-Black album) tone. Throughout the 10 track CD, Brutaliator shows a respect for old-school riffs (especially prevalent on "Metal Commandos") and a knack for writing memorable songs with gang vocals on the choruses. The guitars are especially crisp and are from the King / Hammett / Schaeffer school of riffage. Overall, it is actually surprising how much Brutaliator sounds like Slayer without sounding like a pure thrash band rather more so along "Seasons In The Abyss".
