Pretty Boy Floyd - Burgettstown, PA 7/29/2002

Pretty Boy Floyd hit the side stage promptly at 5:15 p.m. in Burgettstown to warm-up fans for the evening’s show. Recalling glam rock favorites like “Leather Boyz” and “Junkie Girl,” Pretty Boy Floyd rocked things out for a small crowd of real fans. Highlights included the sing-along favorite “48 Hours” and a cover of Motley Crue’s “Toast of the Town.”

These days original vocalist Steve Summers is joined by Lesli on bass, Dish on drums, and Chadpole on guitar, which was a disappointment to Keri Kelli fans who'd heard of him touring with the band again in Europe. While Kristy “Krash” Majors is not touring with Pretty Boy Floyd, he is concentrating on his booking agency, Artist's Worldwide.

Even though the band was exhausted from several days of travel and no sleep, they made it out to Hoorah's in West View, a jaunt across town from the amphitheater, to perform as special guests during the local band Skell's performance. While most fans who'd heard the rumor that they would perform for an hour to an hour and a half, most who'd journeyed out after Poison only caught a few songs, but it was worth it, because the band was blessed with much better sound and perhaps even a few hours rest.
