Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Pittsburgh, PA 12/23/2003

Trans-Siberian Orchestra has come a long way from playing the small theaters and select (but sold out) dates that started things off just five years ago. With three stellar albums to date and more to come, the unprecedented blend of hard rock and orchestrated Christmas favorites can now be found in live performances from two touring companies packing arena-sized houses across the United States from Thanksgiving to New Year’s. Firehouse - Pittsburgh, PA 3/1/2001

In support of their latest release O2 (Spitfire), Firehouse performed one of a few scattered shows at Banana Joe’s in Pittsburgh, PA, kicking their set off with “Jumpin’,” the opening track from the new album. Keeping in mind that the band is known for hitting with ballads, it was great to hear them continue through the set with other up-tempo tracks like “Reach for the Sky” and “Take it Off,” another track from the new album. Enuff Znuff - Cleveland, OH 10/9/2002

Interestingly, in support of their upcoming release Welcome to Blue Island (already available in Japan) Enuff Znuff has embarked on a co-headlining tour with former Mr. Big vocalist Eric Martin. Normally, a simple club tour wouldn’t be so interesting, but this time the band has embarked on a tour without their lead vocalist Donnie Vie. And considering the trademark beatlesque vocal harmonies that the band is known for, it makes for an interesting road report. Read the complete Enuff Znuff - Cleveland, OH 10/9/2002 review...

Pretty Boy Floyd - Burgettstown, PA 7/29/2002

Pretty Boy Floyd hit the side stage promptly at 5:15 p.m. in Burgettstown to warm-up fans for the evening’s show. Recalling glam rock favorites like “Leather Boyz” and “Junkie Girl,” Pretty Boy Floyd rocked things out for a small crowd of real fans. Highlights included the sing-along favorite “48 Hours” and a cover of Motley Crue’s “Toast of the Town.” Read the complete Pretty Boy Floyd - Burgettstown, PA 7/29/2002 review...

Tate, Geoff - Pittsburgh, PA 7/13/2002

Appropriately, Geoff Tate’s solo touring band featured all of the musicians from his new Sanctuary release. C. Fox, Scott Moughton, Evan Schiller, Howard Chilcott, and Jeff Carrell to be exact. Everyone but the Cello player, Tate jokes.

Prior to the start of the tour Tate told TPRS.com that he was "very anxious to go on tour this summer, and really looking forward to it.” Read the complete Tate, Geoff - Pittsburgh, PA 7/13/2002 review...

Levin, Tony - Pittsburgh, PA

With perhaps a record attendance at Rosebud in Pittsburgh’s Strip District, The Tony Levin Band, which also features Jerry Marotta on drums, vocals, and guitar; Jesse Gress on guitars and vocals; and Larry Fast on synthesizer, embarked on an entertaining showcase of talent that lasted well over two hours. Jackyl - Pittsburgh, PA 1/30/2001

Almost a decade after the band's self-titled debut on Geffen Records, two of Jackyl's original members have moved on, namely Jimmy Stiff (guitar) and Tom Bettini (bass). Yet, the brothers Chris (drums) and Jeff Worley (guitar) and front man Jesse James Dupree have kept the band moving forward, and no matter where the future may lead them, there are two things that fans will certainly not forget - long hair can never cover up a redneck, and Jackyl will always put on one hell of a show. These facts were certainly apparent as always in this night's performance... Read the complete Jackyl - Pittsburgh, PA 1/30/2001 review...

Dio - Cleveland, OH 12/6/2002

As a follow-up to a successful summer tour with Deep Purple and the Scorpions, Ronnie James Dio returned this fall as promised with Jimmy Bain (bass); Doug Aldrich (guitar); Simon Wright (drums); and Scott Maxwell (keyboards). Warming up the audience was an interesting mix of the Swedish Hammerfall and the progressive King’s X… Read the complete Dio - Cleveland, OH 12/6/2002 review...

Iron Maiden - Burgettstown, PA 8/11/2000

As stated both in the print media and by lead vocalist Bruce Dickinson himself, Iron Maiden’s “Brave New World” tour is not a rehash of their past glories, but an introduction to a new century of Maiden music madness. Read the complete Iron Maiden - Burgettstown, PA 8/11/2000 review...

Aerosmith - Burgettstown, PA 6/30/2001

While many bands have scored their hits and faded away, Aerosmith offers a colorful past and from the looks of their recent accomplishments, a vibrant future.

Most hard rock bands can "Dream On" when it comes to crossover success today, these rock 'n roll vets have accomplished the task and broken boundaries that are likely to make most record execs cringe. They've scored a #1 Billboard single, lead the revolution on the fusion of rock and rap genres, and most importantly they come back stronger with each new release...
